As we mark our 10th anniversary at Blue Fern Travel, we are excited to celebrate this milestone by launching our most ambitious charitable initiative yet: donating 10,000 meals to Bread for the City. Our journey over the past decade has been filled with delicious food tours, amazing customers, and a deep commitment to giving back to our community.

Our Partnership with Bread for the City

Since our founding in 2014, a portion of every ticket sold has been donated to Bread for the City, an incredible organization that offers essential services to Washington, D.C. residents. This year, as Bread for the City celebrates their 50th anniversary, our goal to donate 10,000 meals, and a total of 50,000 meals over ten years, holds even more significance.

How You Can Help

We invite you to join us in this important campaign. Here’s how you can contribute:

  1. Book a Tour: For every guest on tour, three meals will be donated to a local resident in need.
  2. Donate Directly: Click our unique link to make a direct donation to Bread for the City.
  3. Spread the Word: Share our campaign on social media and inspire others to get involved.

Supporting Local Businesses

Our commitment to the community goes beyond donations. We only patronize local businesses, many of which are minority and women-owned. We ensure fair payments and tip generously, having reinvested half a million dollars into the local economy over the past ten years.

Bread for the City’s Comprehensive Support

Bread for the City provides much more than food. They offer healthcare, social services, legal assistance, and clothing to help D.C. residents during challenging times. Our collaboration underscores the broader impact of our charitable efforts.

Join Us in Celebrating

This campaign is not just about donating meals; it’s about celebrating our community and the rich culinary history of our area. We are proud to preserve and promote the local food culture while making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we can achieve our goal of donating 10,000 meals and continue to make a meaningful difference in our community.
